The FAST & FURIOUS franchise is one of those rare beasts where a film series previously thought to be on the way out seems to keep making more and more money with every film that goes by. With that in mind it comes as no surprise that production on the seventh instalment in the lucrative franchise is well underway
In light of FAST & FURIOUS 6’s whopping $788 million worldwide box office result, Vin Diesel and the rest of the cast have been wasting no time promoting the upcoming 2014 sequel, despite director Justin Lin being replaced by horror film maker James Wan. The seventh film will see none other than Jason Statham take a villainous turn as the older brother of Luke Evan’s character from the sixth film. It should be entertaining to see what Statham brings to a ‘popcorn’ film series as a villain, given his action credentials and well-known screen persona.

FAST & FURIOUS 7 will be released July 2014. The film stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Jason Statham and is directed by James Wan. As always we will update you with any more news on the film as we get it.
