‘Blurred Lines’ Dancer Bags Role In ‘Gone Girl’

Emily Ratajkowski

Model Emily Ratajkowski, probably best known for shakin’ what her mumma gave her in Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ music video, has been cast in David Fincher’s new project GONE GIRL.

Adapted from the best-selling novel written by Gillian Flynn, Rosamund Pike (PRIDE AND PREJUDICE) stars as Amy, wife of Nick (Ben ‘New Batman’ Affleck), who goes missing on their fifth wedding anniversary. Ratajkowski will join the cast as Andie, a college student who has an affair with Nick.

I have to be honest, when I saw the original headline I thought it was ridiculous. However, this won’t be Emily’s first foray into acting; she’s previously featured in Nickelodeon’s iCarly and the Zooey Deschanel-headed sitcom New Girl. Without seeing some form of evidence, I can’t really comment on her acting abilities, so we’ll have to wait and see how she shapes up in GONE GIRL.

Directed by Fincher (FIGHT CLUB), the film co-stars Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry. Flynn has written the screenplay, with WALK THE LINE actress Reese Witherspoon co-producing.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
