THN have received official news from 20th Century Fox that they’ve set THE MAZE RUNNER for a romantic UK February 14th release date, well, we say romantic, we mean marketing.
The film, directed by Wes Ball, stars Dylan O’Brien (THE INTERNSHIP), Kaya Scodelario (Skins), Will Poulter (WE’RE THE MILLERS) Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Game of Thrones), Aml Ameen (RED TAILS) and is based on the based on the best-selling young adult novel.
THE MAZE RUNNER is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where Thomas is deposited in a community of young men after his memory is erased. After learning they’re all trapped in a maze, Thomas joins forces with fellow ‘runners’ to not only escape the maze, but solve its riddle and reveal the chilling secret of who brought them there, and why.
You can check out the first stills by clicking right here and as there’s a few TWILIGHT producers behind this adaption, we’re sure to expect a mash-up of love triangles (why do people love that shape so much?), epic-style scores and THE HUNGER GAMES. Although, if you’re trying to push Jennifer Lawrence off the YA Throne, we think you’re in for a fight.
