Fear Is Born In Unsettling ‘Devil’s Due’ Poster

January appears to have replaced the rather more appropriate month of October for the release of high-profile horror pics. It’s been successful for the likes of last years TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D and the previous years THE DEVIL INSIDE, despite the majority of negative reviews for both. 20th Century Fox will be hoping they can strike fear into us (and gold at the box-office) following the sugar-coated Christmas period, with their ROSEMARY’S BABY-inspired frightener DEVIL’S DUE, which is slated for US cinemas 17th January (and the UK on Valentine’s Day!).

The low-budget shocker is directed by two of the filmmaking team known as Radio Silence – Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett – from a screenplay by Lindsay Devlin and Zoe Green. Check out this eerie first poster for the found-footage film starring Allison Miller and Zach Gilford.

After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behaviour in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
