Fourth Trailer & New Posters Unleashed For Rinsch & Reeves’ ’47 Ronin’

This Christmas will finally see the release of the long-delayed, mega-bugeted martial-art fantasy epic 47 RONIN. Keanu Reeves leads as “half-breed” Kai, who must unite a band of fearless warriors in an effort to cast out the mythic monsters now enslaving the land. The film is said to have cost close to $250 million and was plagued with 3D filming and editing problems, while director Carl Rinsch was supposedly fired during post-production. Still, from the trailers we’ve seen previous it looks promising and we hold out hope it’s a special addition to the genre, so feast your eyes of a fourth, as well as a couple of new posters!

Keanu Reeves makes an explosive return to action-adventure in 47 Ronin. After a treacherous warlord kills their master and banishes their kind, 47 leaderless samurai vow to seek vengeance and restore honor to their people. Driven from their homes and dispersed across the land, this band of Ronin must seek the help of Kai (Reeves)—a half-breed they once rejected—as they fight their way across a savage world of mythic beasts, shape-shifting witchcraft and wondrous terrors. As this exiled, enslaved outcast becomes their most deadly weapon, he will transform into the hero who inspires this band of outnumbered rebels to seize eternity.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
