Few films pack-in as much action-packed insanity as director Gareth Evans martial-arts epic THE RAID. The simple yet effective plot made sure the barbarity that ensued would stand the film out of the crowd. Evans will soon unleash his much-hyped sequel, THE RAID 2: BERANDAL, which sees the new events take place only a couple of hours after the original. Lead Iko Uwais also returns for more blood-caked carnage and, which according to Evans, will feature 17 brutal set-pieces and 65 minutes of breathless action scenes.
Today, an imposing first teaser poster has surfaced showing the mean mother’s Uwais is sure to come up against this time around. Does this character ever get a break? Well, other then those bones he’s handy at snapping.
THE RAID 2 is expected later next year and co-stars Julie Estelle, Alex Abbad, Marsha Timothy, Mathias Muchus, Tio Pakusadewo, and Cecep Arif Rahman.
