Brilliant British beefcake Jason Statham is currently working on the seventh film in the FAST & FURIOUS franchise after completing filming on EXPENDABLES 3 but may be set to appear in Paul Feig’s forthcoming comedy SUSAN COOPER. The film will reunite the filmmaker with BRIDESMAIDS and THE HEAT’s Melissa McCarthy for a third time with a plot seeing the scene-stealing comedienne as an unlikely secret agent.
The Stath has met with Feig and is thrashing out a deal with 20th Century Fox to see him co-star as McCarthy’s ass-kicking sidekick. It will be the first time he’ll be able to test his comedic chops since THE PINK PANTHER (stop sniggering). In all fairness though, Statham’s delivered many laughs in the likes of LOCK STOCK, CRANK and SNATCH, so seeing him opposite the hilarious rising actress could be memorable.
