With Charlie Hunnam departing the controversial adaptation of E.L. James’ kinky novel FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, it’s left to Universal Studio and Focus Features to find an able replacement to assure female fans go weak-in-the-knees. It’s something they’re having to do rather swiftly as shooting on the film is set to begin in a number of weeks. The role of virginal college student Anastasia Steele, who gets her eyes opened (amongst other holes) by the bondage-loving billionaire Christian Grey, is still Dakota Johnson’s. In fact, she’s helping the studio out in choosing their potential replacement.
Producer Michael DeLuca has confirmed 24-year-old Johnson has had plenty of say in recent reading with possible casting. Claiming she’s:
Our rock. She’s helping us look through the candidates to see which chemistry kind of our captures our attention.
While Universal’s list has the likes of Alexander Skarsgard, Theo James and Christian Cooke included, another two names have been confirmed for screen-tests opposite Johnson and director Sam Taylor-Johnson last Friday. These names are Once Upon A Time actor Jamie Dornan, and the Tony-nominated Billy Magnussen, who recently replaced Jake Gyllenhaal in the currently-shooting musical INTO THE WOODS.

Sheriff Graham is the character’s name on Once Upon A Time. The actor’s name is Jamie Dornan who you already listed so it’s not a new name you “confirmed”. And you can also replace the character’s name with the actor’s name below the pic. You really thought the guy’s first name was Sheriff? That didn’t ring any alarm bells to do the barest minimum of fact checking? Hahaha
