Is there anything better than watching one of the best horror television series around, volume up, lights dimmed? How about when it’s on a projector, being shown in a creepy old asylum in the heart of South East London? Yes, to celebrate the release of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM we got all spooked up with popcorn and our Scream Eggs” to watch some of the episodes from season two, and we have to say, it is just as good as the first time around.
If you are a fan of the AMERICAN HORROR STORY series, you will know that the series runs more like an anthology rather than an original series arc, so we have brand new stories but it’s the same actors we grew to love. Actress and all round living legend Jessica Lange takes the role of Sister Jude, the head nun of Briarcliff Manor, and has some very outdated ways of curing the mentally unstable. It is not until the arrival of a supposed notorious serial killer named Bloody Face enters (real name Kit Walker, played by the criminally underrated Evan Peters) when everything starts to really go wrong.
As we said before, AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM is still amazing no matter how many times you watch it. It might be a little too much for the light hearted, but it does its best to keep the drama without it being dampened by the horror elements. If you are not one for trick or treating or dressing up, go grab yourself AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM on Blu-Ray or DVD, and go have a total horror feast (and try not to have a heart attack before it ends)
