Director Andre Ovredal will follow-up his cult, Norwegian found-footage creature feature TROLL HUNTER with a brand new English-languge effort. Psychological thriller THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE is based on an original screenplay by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naingand that is set in a small-town, family-owned mortuary. Father and son coroners receive the corpse of a mysteriously beautiful, yet unknown murder victim. As they delve into finding out the cause of her death, they discover increasingly bizarre clues which hold the key to even more terrifying secrets.
I’ve yet to catch TROLL HUNTER, although it’s been on my hit list, but even more so following the recent news that THE DESCENT’s Neil Marshall is set for the US remake. This does sound like a creepy project and I’ll be keeping an eye out for it next year. Shooting is set to begin in London in December. We’ll keep you posted on casting.
