Chris Pine was recently confirmed as one of two related new villain characters set to make life difficult for Jason Bateman, Jason Sudiekis and Charlie Day the comedy sequel HORRIBLE BOSSES 2. It was hoped Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz would sign on as Pine’s devious father as a tag team of unlikeable and evil employers targeted for chop by the trio. Initially, Waltz was unable to commit due to scheduling conflicts and ruled himself out. However, he now appears to have found an opening and has officially signed on for the film this time directed by Sean Anders.

The currently-shooting sequel is expected the use the “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” approach and stick to the same formula as the 2010 guilty pleasure following three friends who each plot to off each others’ bosses. Expect a few more names to announced in the coming weeks and a possible return of Jennifer Aniston’s foxy nymphomaniac dentist and Jamie Foxx’s ‘murder consultant’. The film, written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, will hit cinemas 26th November 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
