After several months of rumours it has finally been confirmed that KICK ASS star Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to play Pietro ‘Quicksilver’ Maximoff in Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. It will actually be the second time we’ll be seeing Maximoff as he’ll also feature in Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE, except he’ll be portrayed by Evan Peters.
Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, commented on the shared studio rights to the character, saying:
There’s a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
Quicksilver’s sister Wanda (also known as The Scarlet Witch) will also feature in the film, with Elizabeth Olsen supposedly said to be the frontrunner for the part.
