Intense First Footage For Eli Roth’s Cannibal Horror ‘The Green Inferno’

HOSTEL’s writer/director Eli Roth has turned to the classic and controversial cannibal horrors of the 1970s/80s for inspiration on his latest project. THE GREEN INFERNO sees a group of passionate American students successfully attempt a protest to save part of the Amazon. However, on their way back their planes runs into trouble and crashes in the middle of the iconic rainforest, leaving them at the mercy of the primitive and indigenous population with taste for human flesh!

Popping along to Jay Leno’s ‘The Tonight Show‘ for Halloween, Roth showcased the first footage from the horror film and here it is…

THE GREEN INFERNO is still awaiting release dates but is expected early 2014. It stars Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Aaron Burns and Sky Ferreira.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
