Thought by many to have been milked to death, it turns out that their might still be life left in the SAW franchise after all. With fellow Halloween franchise and SAW usurper, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY  finally seeking to be running out of steam, Lionsgate are looking to find the next hit.

Not quite ready to risk their most lucrative time of year on something new, they have instead turned back to SAW, one of the films that shaped the studio. The company are apparently in talks with original creators James Wan and Leigh Whanell about the potential of bringing the torture series back in a different direction. So far this story is little more than rumours, with the studio keen to work on developing a solid script before dipping it’s toe back into the Jigsaw infested blood.
