BATMAN VS SUPERMAN seems to be giving us more questions than answers these days, with constant rumours of both Wonder Woman and Nightwing making appearances it’s difficult to pin down the direction Zack Snyder and co are taking with the sequel.
Now its been revealed that Adam Driver has emerged as the front runner to play Batman’s former sidekick Dick Grayson, who has now become Nightwing after a falling out with the caped crusader in his Robin days. This report seemingly confirms that characters’ involvement in the MAN OF STEEL sequel which could become quite overcrowded if not handled properly, especially if Wonder Woman is also included. Driver seems to fit the description of the character and also has a strong resemblance to his comic book counterpart, you can see a picture of Driver below:
I actually think that the inclusion of Batman’s former partner could benefit the story by using the conflict between the two characters as a way of giving the audience an insight into Ben Affleck’s new ‘tired and weary’ Bruce Wayne/Batman. This therefore would be a sufficient way of giving the character a rich and interesting back story to engage audiences after Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES was only released last year. Driver has starred in J. EDGAR, LINCOLN and HBO’s Girls, The Wrap notes that another two actors may also be considered for the role so check back with us for updates on this story and more news on BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN.
