Will Stephen Amell’s ‘Arrow’ Join The Justice League?

Stephen Amell Arrow

The CW’s ARROW is consistently maintaining quality storytelling , characters and high ratings whilst demonstrating that superhero’s can be used effectively on television. The show has just begun its second season and has dedicated a significant amount of time to expanding the universe inhabited by Green Arrow and the other residents of starling city.

Stephen Amell who stars as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow has recently posted an intriguing image to his Facebook page that could hint at some very interesting developments for his character, you can see the image below:

Arrow Justice League

Both of the comic book covers show the Justice League and Green Arrow uniting which could mean one of a few different things for Amell’s version of the character. It could be hinting at Amell’s Green Arrow joining Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and other assorted superheroes for the live action JUSTICE LEAGUE film which is apparently in early stages of planning. Or it could also mean that the character will cameo in the upcoming BATMAN VS SUPERMAN alongside Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck which is currently preparing for its February shoot. This could be effective in a post-credits scene setting up the JUSTICE LEAGUE film as it’s also rumoured that both The Flash and Wonder Woman will make cameo appearances.

This season ARROW will introduce its own version of The Flash played by GLEE’s Grant Gustin, could DC be combining its television and film universes in order to rival Marvel’s AVENGERS-sized one of its own?. After all it is curious how quickly ARROW producers abandoned their ‘no super powers’ rule following the success of MAN OF STEEL and the announcement of its sequel. Of course this could all be nothing more than a little joke from Amell to tease fans or ARROW could be forming its own version of the JUSTICE LEAGUE on the small screen. Either way its definitely interesting and the curious timing of this picture presents food for thought, bear in mind also Vin Diesel did something similar by uploading a picture of Groot to his Facebook page shortly before his involvement in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY was announced. We’ll keep you updated on all things ARROW, JUSTICE LEAGUE and BATMAN VS SUPERMAN related as we get it.
