Video: Mary Poppins Gets AFI Special Screening In Hollywood

One of the most applauded films to be released in the second half of 2013 is the 5-star THN reviewed SAVING MR. BANKS, which tells the story of Walt Disney’s efforts to bring the story of MARY POPPINS to the big-screen. ‘Banks’ gets its debut on the 29th November (read our review here), but in related news, the original Walt Disney classic gets its HD debut on the Blu-Ray format on the 9th December in the UK, and the 10th of December in the US to celebrate its 50th year.

On Saturday evening, 9th November, the original film’s stars Dick Van Dyke and Jane Banks herself, Karen Dotrice, attended the MARY POPPINS 50th Anniversary Commemoration Screening at TCL Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard.
