First Official Footage From Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’ Starring Russell Crowe

We’ve a short, sneak peek at the first footage from acclaimed writer/director Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic centring on the story of NOAH and his Ark. We’re expecting a full trailer very soon.

Russell Crowe takes on the title character during a time when the world ravaged by human sin and is given a divine mission by the Lord: to build a vessel to save creation and mankind from an oncoming flood. Aronofsky co-wrote the screenplay alongside Ari Handel and Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan.

It’s still unknown if the reported troubles behind-the-scenes have been resolved regarding final cut and test screenings. Either way, the all-star adaptation is set to sail into cinemas from the 28th March 2014.

NOAH co-stars Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth and Anthony Hopkins.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
