We previously brought you what I called a “seriously fucked-up” first trailer for IFC Midnight’s indie body horror CONTRACTED. Now we’ve another, along with a bunch of new stills from the controversial film centring on the very real fears of sexual health and one that should be shown in clinics and sex ed classes around the globe!
CONTRACTED follows the beautiful young Samantha (Najarra Townsend), who’s disagreement with her girlfriend leads her on an unprotected one night stand with a random stranger. Days later she finds herself a little worse for wear and visiting her heath professional discovers she has contracted an STD. However, it is in fact something far worse and Samantha’s world slowly begins to horrifically disintegrate, as does her physical form.
The film comes from writer/director Eric England and is set for US cinemas from the 22nd November. No word yet on a UK date but this is looking an uncomfortable and chilling watch. I can’t wait!
