Korean Prison Drama ‘Way Back Home’ Delivers Harrowing Trailer

Based on a true story, WAY BACK HOME, sees a housewife arrested at an airport as she tries to smuggle a large amount of cocaine. Unable to return home, she is sent to prison on a harsh and isolated island of Martinique. Meanwhile back at home, her husband attempts to get her freed. The trailer certainly dishes out some visceral imagery in its 53 seconds, as well as capturing some powerful performances from Jeon Do Yeon and Go See. Directed by actress turned director, Pang Eun Jin, who was responsible for the fantastic but little seen PRINCESS AURORA, this looks set to be a powerful and memorable film looking at the desperation of people in need.
