We have just less than a month until Warner Bros. and New Line release the second part of Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy based on ‘THE HOBBIT’ which serves as a prequel to ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS’ trilogy.
THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG continues the adventure of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) and thirteen dwarves on a brave quest to reclaim their homeland of Erebor that was overtaken by a vicious dragon named Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch). The film will also see the Orlando Bloom return to the role of Legolas after his memorable portrayal of the elf archer in Peter Jackson’s acclaimed LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy that ran from 2001 to 2003.
This new TV spot shows glimpses of new footage but nothing too major, however the film still looks spectacular and may even beat the brilliance of the original if the trailers and TV spots we have seen so far are anything to go by. In addition, we also have a couple of new banners.
THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG stars Martin Freeman, Ian Mckellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Orlando Bloom, Richard Armitage, Luke Evans and Evangeline Lilly, and will be released on 13th December worldwide.
