The Bible is making waves, and I’m talking about neither the book nor Moses’ parting ways. I am of course talking about the 10 hour miniseries that became a ratings success in America. The Roma Downey and Mark Burnett produced series has proven so popular that it is about to undergo some re-edits, along with the insertion of unseen footage, ready for a theatrical release too (don’t worry, that won’t be 10 hours), titled SON OF GOD. Now the Emmy award winning mini-series is set for UK TV audiences, as well as a release on home entertainment systems.
The Bible is coming to Channel 5 from Saturday 30th November with a DVD and Blu-ray release following on 26th December. Roma Downey and Mark Burnett have already communicated their excitement:
