First Trailer For IMAX 3D Nature Doc ‘Island Of Lemurs: Madagascar’

Morgan Freeman and Warner Bros. are at it again with their cuddly look at nature. After captivating us with their 2005 documentary MARCH OF THE PENGUINS, they move from the frozen wasteland of the Antarctic to the heat of Madagascar and a look as the curious creatures known as Lemurs. ISLAND OF LEMURS: MADAGASCAR is directed by David Douglas in glorious 3D IMAX with incomparable Freeman narrating as we travel with conservationist Patricia Wright on her lifelong mission to help these endangered creatures survive in the modern world.

Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”) narrates the documentary about the incredible true story of nature’s greatest explorers—lemurs. Captured with IMAX® 3D cameras, “Island of Lemurs: Madagascar” takes audiences on a spectacular journey to the remote and wondrous world of Madagascar. Lemurs arrived there as castaways millions of years ago and evolved into hundreds of diverse species but are now highly endangered. Join trailblazing scientist Patricia Wright on her lifelong mission to help these strange and adorable creatures survive in the modern world.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
