Paramount Pictures’ “latino” spinoff of the overy-hyped PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise has released a brand new poster for THE MARKED ONES. The film continues the stale found-footage format that is becoming increasingly awful in the horror genre and this looks even more terrible than we could hoped. Then again, I was never a fan of the first low-budget film of which I still struggle to comprehend how it went on to become a surprising sleeper smash and spawning these ever-dimishing sequels and spinoffs.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES is written and directed by Christopher Landon and stars Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens and Frank Salinas. It’s set for cinemas worldwide from the 3rd January 2014.
We’ve also included the latest international trailer just below the new poster.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
