With the daily rumours and speculation surrounding the highly anticipated STAR WARS: EPISODE VII from Disney and Lucasfilm, I think the world will share a collective sigh of relief when the official cast is announced and the film has begun shooting. Hopefully we wont have much longer to wait until we find out which of the various rumours circling the internet are true, and of course whether or not Han, Leia and Luke will return.
Lately the rumour mill has focused on potential male leads for the science fiction sequel however this latest piece of news concerns three possible female additions to the cast. Three relatively unknown actresses Emmanuelle Chriqui (WRONG TURN, YOU DON’T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN), Alexis Dziena (FOOL’S GOLD, NICK & NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST) and Taissa Farmiga (AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN) are reportedly up for roles. It’s currently unknown if all three actresses are up for the same part or different roles but either of them would be great additions to the cast. Despite having small filmographies they have each been involved in very impressive works and a high profile film like STAR WARS: EPISODE VII would boost their profile to stratospheric levels. We can only hope that at least some casting for the film is confirmed soon before out heads explode like the death star, December 2015 has never seemed so far far away…..
