The film adaptation of the first entry in the massively popular book series ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ recently started filming, ending what seemed to be a long and arduous process of guessing who might drop out or be attached to the movie. Now everything is underway, the rest of the cast is filling out with news of Rita Ora playing Christian Grey’s adopted sister, Mia, hitting earlier this week and now it seems they’ve found the woman behind his adoptive mother, too.
Marcia Gay Harden, currently a part of TV’s The Newsroom and having recently wrapped up shooting MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT (Woody Allen’s newest film), will portray Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey. It certainly has the potential to be a massive hit, bolstered by it being moved into the would-be blockbuster-fest that 2015 is shaping up to be.
Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, FIFTY SHADES OF GREY also stars Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini and Luke Grimes. It has an official release date of the 13th February 2015.
