Without sounding incredibly insensitive, it well and truly is all aboard the slave train for the Boston Online Film Critics Association! Topping BOFCA’s favourite ten films of the year and taking Best Director, Actor, Supporting Actress, Editing and Score, this bunch of voters barely find room to squeeze anybody else in. However, Oscar frontrunners Cate Blanchett and Jared Leto find a little air to breathe, while Bruno Delbonnel finds himself rewarded once more for his work on the Coens’ INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS.
12 YEARS A SLAVE’s fellow current frontrunner, GRAVITY, finds itself placed at number four in the ten best films of the year, pleasingly joined by SPRING BREAKERS, THE SPECTACULAR NOW and THE WORLD’S END. How do you like them apples, Edgar?
