TRUE GRIT star Hailee Steinfeld is reportedly in talks to join TEN THOUSAND SAINTS.
Adapted from the 2011 Eleanor Henderson novel, the story is set in 1980s New York around the time of the Tompkins Square Park riots. Vermont teenager Jude moves away from home and in with his father after his best friend Ted overdoses. After settling in, Jude becomes part of a no drugs/no sex/no meat straightedge punk group, but his new-found comfort can’t stay for long when it emerges that Eliza (to be played by Steinfeld) is pregnant with Ted’s baby.
AMERICAN SPLENDOR directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini are set to direct the project. Not much else is known about the film at the moment, but we all know the potential of Hailee’s talents. With such an intriguing story, set in a great era for music and culture, this could be brilliant.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
