Ron Moore, the man behind the revamp of ‘Battlestar Galactica‘, has a new show coming to Syfy which you can check out the first poster and trailer of below. ‘Helix‘ will see a team of scientists trying to understand and contain a mysterious disease that could threaten the world’s population if not contained. The zombie genre as a whole is still going strong on both the big and small screen and the trailer certainly suggests we’ll be getting zombie-like creatures in some form, though it’s actually refreshing to see the origin of a potential outbreak being tackled rather than left as exposition for science-y looking characters to drop into conversation.
The poster below is certain to turn a few heads as well. Could it be the first big TV hit of the new year? We’ll have to wait and see, but for now check the trailer and poster out below.
Starting January 10th, ‘Helix’ will air on Syfy (a UK airdate is yet to be announced) and will star Billy Campbell. Jeri Ryan, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky and Mark Ghanime.
