Ray Liotta (GOODFELLAS), Sophie Turner (Game Of Thrones) and Mark Kassen (director and star of PUNCTURE) have all signed up for new indie project ALONE.
Kassen will star as Freeman, a soldier who has returned from war, only to suffer Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD). Through treatment, Freeman befriends Penelope (Turner), a rebellious New York teenager whose father (Liotta) does not approve of their friendship. Matthew Coppola (FRESH CUT GRASS) wrote and will direct the feature.
Liotta, a living legend of film, was brilliant in Derek Cianfrance’s THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES (but we all knew he would be). I haven’t seen anything starring Kassen, but I do know that Turner is a favourite in Game Of Thrones. It’ll be interesting to see where they take the film, especially with indie director Coppola.
