Okay people, pinch of salt and potential SPOILERS time! The guys over at Latino Review in the US have possible basgged themselves a little exclusive again. The LA based website is reporting that a potential second villain for Joss Whedon’s planned ‘Avengers’ sequel AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON could be….

HYDRA leader Baron Von Strucker.

Now, not being the guy with the greatest knowledge of comic book characters, I’ve done a little research on the the naughty bad guy.

[From WikiPedia] Baron Strucker, [is] a former Nazi officer, is one of the leaders of HYDRA and an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Avengers, and the interests of the United States of America and of the free world in general. He has been physically augmented to be nearly ageless. He has been seemingly killed in the past only to return to plague the world with schemes of world domination and genocide, time and time again.

Not only did Latino Review name the possible villain, but also added that Whedon is actively looking to cast the role now (the film enters production in the new year, so they need to get going). Word is that he is looking at Martin Csokas and Dougray Scott for the part.

Scott is the Scottish actor that has been in a wealth of movies over the years, most notably the villain in John Woo’s M:I 2 and more recently, the Netflix show Hemlock Grove. The name Martin Csokas may be new to you. Interestingly he plays Dr. Kafka in next year’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, but people will possibly know him best for playing Celeborn in THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING. He’s hot property with roles in NOAH and SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR all set for 2014.

The two actors look very alike.
