This past summer’s comedy WE’RE THE MILLERS landed with mixed critical reaction. Our own John Sharp gave it an very average two stars saying that the film ‘had potential to be so much better. It could have wallowed in the glorious mud of dirty humour. Instead it just stinks. Great cast, bad film.’  The film took $269 million around the world making it a commercial hit in anyone’s financial books, especially coming off of a $37 million budget.

The movie’s director Rawson Marshall Thurber will tackle another comedy next year, reteaming with WE’RE THE MILLERS co-star Ed Helms. The film is called CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE and is said to be a spy movie that revolves around an accountant who’s thrown into the world of international espionage after reconnecting with an old friend through Facebook.

Thurber will rewrite the script, which was originally penned by Sean Anders, John Morris, co-writers on WE’RE THE MILLERS and Peter Steinfeld (BE COOL, 21).
