British acting icon Helena Bonham Carter is reportedly in talks to join Pathe Films and Film4’s SUFFRAGETTE.
Based on true events, the story focuses on the women involved with the early feminist movement, forced to silence themselves through the brutality of the government. THE GREAT GATSBY star Carey Mulligan has already signed onto the project, with Sarah Gavron directing (BRICK LANE).
I’m a huge fan of both women, especially the chameleon-like Bonham Carter, so to see them work together would be perfect. A very British film indeed!
