Second Production Blog For Sam Mendes-Produced Horror Series ‘Penny Dreadful’

Showtime have released another production video for the upcoming Sam Mendes-produced horror series ‘PENNY DREADFUL’, which stars Eva Green, Timothy Dalton and Josh Hartnett. The video follows three-time oscar nominee John Logan (HUGO, THE AVIATOR, GLADIATOR) as he breaks down the gothic literature that inspired the upcoming show. Logan is writing ,as well as executive producing the series, which throws characters such as Dr. Frankenstein and Dorian Gray into the grim mixing pot of Victorian London.

Logan’s cohorts which include Mendes and Pippa Harris (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD) promise to make this a memorable journey into the dark heart of 19th century macabre. The series is expected later next year.
