Martin Freeman is taking over the world. At the moment the British actor can be seen in the superb BBC made TV show Sherlock, and of course the well received sequel to THE HOBBIT, THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG. This year Freeman will also be seen in a TV series based on the Coen brothers superb 1996 movie FARGO.
The series will debut on US cable channel FX in the Spring, and today Yahoo! TV got an exclusive first look at it.
Fargo will run for a ten episode series with Freeman playing a character named Lester Nygaard, who is said to be very similar to William H, Macy’s lead in the superb original movie, with Allison Tolman will also starring as Deputy Molly Solverson (pictured).
No word on which channel will host the show in the UK, but my money’s on the New Corp. owned Sky Atlantic. We’ll bring you more news as we get it.
