An awesome cast has been assembled for SAW and INSIDIOUS scribe/actor Leigh Whannell’s latest and frankly crazy-sounding project, which will premiere at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival.
COOTIES is directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion and centres on mysterious virus that hits a small town but strangely begins to only affect the prepubescent population. Transforming them into violent, feral little monsters. As the virus centralises in the town’s elementary school, the infected students soon have the teaching staff under siege. Holed up and becoming increasing desperate, these educators soon act out deadly revenge fantasies with an eerie sense of childlike glee before realising they’re going to actually have carry them out in order to survive.
We’ve the first set of images from the film, as well as an awesome retro poster, for the film starring Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, Alison Pill, Jack McBrayer, Nasim Pedrad, Jorge Garcia and, of course, Whannell. Wood’s SpectreVision banner also produces.
