Daniel Espinosa Up For ‘Assassin’s Creed’?

Assassin's Creed Movie

Another video game adaptation is all systems go, so let’s hope it’s not slaughtered like a certain tomb raider was, but SAFE HOUSE director Daniel Espinosa has been approached to take on ASSASSIN’S CREED. However this hasn’t yet been confirmed.

ASSASSIN’S CREED is based on the video game where Desmond Miles is captured by a secret organization, linked to the Knight Templar, who send him back in time in the body of one of his killer ancestors to rescue historical artefacts. The games vary from him going back to the Crusades to the Renaissance.  This should have a bit more action than time-travel epic BACK TO THE FUTURE, although you can’t ever go wrong with a time traveling Delorean.

The movie is set to be released on 7th August 2015, but given the fact that 2015 is crammed full of remakes, rebrands, franchises, sequels, prequels and everything else, this could be subject to change. Especially if the director isn’t confirmed at some point soon. Michael Fassbender will star and co-produce along with Frank Marshall, so stay tuned for more updates soon.
