Gareth Edwards Announces ‘Godzilla’ Graphic Novel

With the best film of the year less than 4 months away, it appears we’ll be getting a little extra GODZILLA in the form of the now pretty common graphic novel prequel. Set decades before the film takes place, ‘Godzilla: Awakening’ is written by Greg and Max Borenstein, the latter having written the screenplay for the film itself. The graphic novel is released on 7th May, just over a week before the film’s release date. The artists involved with the project are Eric Battle, Yvel Guichet, Alan Quah and Lee Loughridge, with cover art by Arthur Adams.

GODZILLA will be released 16th May 2014. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe, Bryan Cranston, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, and David Strathairn.
