Little is known about Brad Bird’s mysterious project TOMORROWLAND, all we’ve got to go on are a few on-set photos and viral websites that very much maintain the allure of secrecy. All we know is that it takes place in a futurey, tomorrowy sort of world and that Hugh Laurie will be wearing an exceptionally boss jacket. Have no fear! George Clooney has taken to Reddit for a nice little AMA and here’s what he had to say about working on the film:
“I’m on set and literally have a harness on right now. I was late, because right before I was hanging from about 30 feet over four different blue screens. So as we’re talking now there are all these wires and contraptions hanging off of me. It’s really, really, really good and Brad’s a wonderful director, and a wonderful guy with a wild imagination. And if I don’t screw it up it’ll be a terrific film. Everybody’s really good in it. Anyway, you always have to be careful what you say about these films so I don’t want to sort of ruin it by telling you that everyone dies in the end. Oops, I’ve said too much.”
Ok, so it doesn’t give us that much more information other than the irritating fact that George Clooney has gotten both funnier and better looking with age. If anything, it deepens the mystery and raises the question of why four blue screens are needed? I guess we’ll just have to wait until May 22nd.
