‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ Red Band Trailer

The first trailer for Seth Macfarlane’s follow-up to TED has just landed, and it’s here in all its Red-Band glory. Many questioned the Family Guy creator’s choice of doing a western and placing himself in the lead role as a non-cartoon, but this trailer certainly convinces me that the gamble has paid off. Casting both comedy greats such as himself, Sarah Silverman, and Neil Patrick Harris alongside more dramatic actors including Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson, lends itself to a very good sense of wit and balance.

The humour also encompasses both the traditional shock-tactics and bodily fluid jokes, but also shows some of the more dangerous aspects of history usually avoided by westerns, such as transporting huge blocks of ice and taking pictures. Overall it had me laughing a lot and this is on my must see list as a result.

A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST will hit US cinemas on 30th May, 2014, and will hit UK cinemas on 6th June, 2014. It stars Seth MacFarlane, Neil Patrick Harris, Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Giovanni Ribisi, & Sarah Silverman.
