Flood Warning: This film is not recommended for those with a loveless disposition of Russell Crowe.
Ah, what the heck, watch it anyway, but more importantly watch this brand new TV spot set to air during the Superbowl on Friday! A big wave for a big game, only fitting really.
This ‘untold story’ actually tells the story of a man (who we now clearly know is Russell Crowe) chosen by God for a great task before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world. This sounds like an awfully familiar story actually… Almost as if it’s one we’re all really very aware of, perhaps it takes inspiration from one of the most famous world-ending bedtime tales to ever flood our minds? Oh, wait yeah it’s actually that really famous story of Noah.
But in all seriousness, Aranofsky’s NOAH looks to be a promising, visually stunning spectacle full of adequate amounts of shouting, not enough rain and an alarmingly large number of creatures that could probably quite easily kill Noah and his family on the boat which they’re trapped on together to survive. Sounds as if SAW has really upped its game. Sounds as if this one is worth seeing on opening-day!
NOAH also stars Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins and Logan Lerman also, which sails into US ports on 28th of March, and those of the UK on April 7th.
