New Footage In First ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ TV Spot

For all the Super Bowl trailers we saw, it came as a surprise that there was nothing from 20th Century Fox’s highly-anticipated time-travelling sequel X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Not that a film of such size and scale needs much more promotion but on such a big stage, you’d have thought the comic-book blockbuster wouldn’t want to be outdone by a battling bots and web-spinning superheroes?

Still, we’re very eager for the film uniting the cast of X-MEN’s past and present and with Chris Claremont’s fan-favourite arc finally being brought to the big-screen. Today we bring you the first Japanese television spot revealing a little bit of brand new footage from the epic sequel that brings Bryan Singer back in the mutant universe for the first time since 2003s X2.

X-MEN: DOFP stars Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Omar Sy, Evan Peters, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Josh Helman and Lucas Till. It’s slated for cinemas 23rd May 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
