The news coming in from Berlin today is that legendary filmmaker Luc Besson is looking to reboot his franchise THE TRANSPORTER with a brand new trilogy of movies kicking off with THE TRANSPORTER 4. Besson, who produced the Jason Statham starring movies, which we directed by Louis Letterier, Corey Yuen and Olivier Megaton.
Sadly, the new movies will not star Statham, as the flicks will revolve around an origin story concerning his character Frank Martin, the driver who will literally transport anything. The word is that the first movie in the planned trilogy will be fast-tracked into production with two sequels greenlit should that one be successful.
The original ‘Transporter’ series made around $250 million around the world and even spawned a relatively successful TV series in 2011.
So, the question is; do you want to see more ‘Transporter’ movies?
