Radiohead Member To Score PT Anderson’s ‘Inherent Vice’

Jonny GreenwoodJonny Greenwood, member of Radiohead, is confirmed to collaborate with Paul Thomas Anderson for a third time following their work together on the film THERE WILL BE BLOOD and THE MASTER. The duo have obviously formed a strong working bond together, and both previous scores  have been rather remarkable. More remarkable though, was Greenwood’s work on the Haruki Murakami adaptation, NORWEGIAN WOOD. Radiohead have been one of my favourite bands for many a year, so it’s great to see Greenwood continue to work solidly.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest, INHERENT VICE, is based on a 2009 novel by Thomas Pynchon. Set in the 1960s, the film will see a drug addicted detective search for a kidnapped girl. Joaquin Phoenix takes the lead role as the aforementioned detective, Doc Sportello, and is supported by an all star cast which includes Martin Short, Reese Witherspoon, Jena Malone, Josh Brolin, Maya Rudolph and Owen Wilson.

His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
