On Thursday evening, The Hollywood News ventured to the typically very wet and windy Leicester Square in the heart of London’s Theatreland to attend the world premiere of the new Nick Frost comedy CUBAN FURY, which opens across the UK next weekend.
The film stars Frost as Bruce Garrett, a former salsa prodigy who attempts a comeback years after his career was ruined. It’s a superb little romantic comedy, placed just in time for Valentine’s Day next Friday. Check out our review on the site next week.
Here’s our reporter Emma Thrower on the very wet red carpet, fluffy mic in hand, accompanied by Edward White on camera and editing duties.
Beneath Bruce Garrett’s shabby, overweight exterior, the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant. Only one woman can reignite his Latin fire. Spotlight hits, sweat drips, heels click – Nick Frost IS Cuban Fury! From the team that brought you Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul, Cuban Fury is the hilarious, feel-good and must-see comedy for Valentine’s Day 2014. The film’s cast includes an ensemble of great British comedy talent including Nick Frost, Chris O’Dowd, Rashida Jones, Olivia Colman, Ian McShane and Kayvan Novak.
