First Look At Jaimie Alexander In Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

She probably should have been Wonder Woman as well, but that honour went to Gal Gadot, but the nevertheless with reoccuring roles as Lady Sif in both THOR movies, the awesome Jaimie Alexander is back and this time on the coat-tails of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents‘ is of course the crossover for almost every Marvel Universe and although the series stuttered in the middle in terms of viewing figures, those who stuck with it knows how much it got better and better as it reached a brilliantly twisty finale in ‘The Bridge’.

The show had previously met the end of THOR: THE DARK WORLD back when the film was released and now Alexander’s Lady Sif is set for an important part in the role and ‘not just a cameo’ – the latter being the honour of the likes of Cobie Smulders, Samuel L Jackson and Stan Lee. Producer Jed Whedon had the following to say about it:

“We always have our radar up for ways to tie our series into the Marvel films and bringing in an Asgardian really cements that connection. Lady Sif comes here on a hunting mission — sent by Odin — to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor’s world.”

The only frustrating thing for UK viewers is the sheer lack of confirmation for when this will start again, we’ll hoping it will finally be March officially. Bring back the Agents!
