Bradley Cooper Boards Crime Drama ‘American Blood’

Bradley Cooper

The Oscar nominated actor Bradley Cooper is on a roll. After starring in one of the most nominated films of the year, AMERICAN HUSTLE, it has been reported that Cooper is signed on to the crime drama project AMERICAN BLOOD recently acquired by Warner Bros. studios.

Based on the book by New Zealander Ben Sanders, AMERICAN BLOOD follows the story of NYPD officer Marshall Grade who becomes a mob informant and while living in the witness protection program in New Mexico gets dragged into with a dangerous investigation involving a missing woman.

The project is currently only a partial manuscript, which is set to be adapted and finalized by Andrew Sodroski. It has been reported that the much sought after script was bid on by at least one other studio and several TV companies, but it was Warner Bros. that won out at the end.

Sanders published his first book at the age of 20 and became a best-seller in New Zealand. He is now breaking into the American market with AMERICAN BLOOD, which is likely to be the first in a series of books. Good news for a possible film franchise as well. We’ll bring you more news as we get it!
