Errol Morris has a new dark comedy/thriller on the way going by the name of HOLLAND, MICHIGAN and we’ve got the announcement that Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston is set to join the production.

Morris is well known in the industry for his documentary work, which basically brought the genre to the masses in the last thirty years and eventually earned him an Oscar in 2003 with THE FOG OF WAR, which focused on Robert S. McNamara, the former US Secretary of Defence and told us the story of the various difficult lessons he learned about the nature and conduct of modern war.

This time, he’s moving towards fiction with HOLLAND, MICHIGAN in a thriller that  ‘centers on a woman who suspects her husband is cheating, and enters into an affair of her own, before learning her husband’s true, dark secret life.

Naomi Watts had already been confirmed but now we’ve got the aforementioned Cranston and also Edgar Ramirez from ZERO DARK THIRTY and THE COUNSELLOR. Mr Andrew Sodroski has written the script for the film said to be a little bit FARGO. Filming will start shortly but we won’t expect to see it until 2015.
