Featuring on our best of 3D films feature was DREDD. The film’s lead, Karl Urban has recently admitted that we could still see sequel. The actor was one of the attendees at Destination Star Trek in Frankfurt and during a press conference he revealed that ‘conversations’ have been taking place between the studio, director and writer Alex Garland.

Speaking at the 2012 London Film and Comic Con, Garland spoke of his desire to create a trilogy, stating that he had a clear path in mind. He spoke of the sequel delving into Dredd’s past with the third installment introducing the Dark Judges. During this Q and A it was made clear that the film would have to hit a target amount at the box office which it failed to do.

Whilst not setting the box office alight the film has found itself a cult audience upon the home entertainment release. Urban confirmed that this success hadn’t gone unnoticed by the studio and that in his opinion the cinema release of the film was handled incorrectly.
