A new international trailer has surfaced for director Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic NOAH (surfaced – get it?). In the film, as Steve Carrell is no longer interested in the job, it falls to Russell Decimus Crowe to take on the task of boarding a ridiculous number of animals into a big wooden boat in order to survive the watery wrath of God. Just another day in ye olde times!
This trailer conveys the film’s scale perfectly, with fire falling from the sky, huge pillars of water and a look at the sheer number of animals marching into Noah’s contraption (resulting in Industrial Light and Magic’s most complicated use of rendering to date). Complete with a truly epic score, this is one of those trailers that overwhelms one’s expectations and indicates that this is going to be one rollicking good time at the cinema. Reassuringly, the clip also gives a taste of the more personal story of Noah and his family (portrayed by Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson), meaning that it likely won’t be one of those all-action, no-soul fantasy films like 2011’s CONAN THE BARBARIAN (so baaaad), though from Aronofsky that was really never going to be the case.
Perhaps the most awesome part of this trailer is when a sword gets stuck in the ground, creating a massive wave of flame. It only lasts about one second, but seriously watch that and tell me it wasn’t cool.
Check out the trailer:
NOAH also stars Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Kevin Durand and a nasty-looking Ray Winstone. It floods cinemas on 28th March (see what I did there?).

This is NOT a new trailer. This trailer was released by Paramount Pictures in 2013.
